stann_coI think this would be cool. I think it could work in interesting ways. Like the same way you set a delivery, you could set a delivery through a cash exchange app. You send a backpack full of yen, and later get a pallet of equivalent in dollars.
maybe would only work with legitimate cash, i don't know how marked bills should work, if what you get back is also marked, or it's clean. -

AceI mean to be fair with the amount of missions where they give you a different currency than they want, I believe that the player IS the currency exchange system haha

Fraleei had suggested a sort of 'exchange' mission were they ask for a different currency then they give you. it would start showing up later in game when you are able to stockpile a bit of cash
like they want yen but give you euro -

rkane31174I had a similar idea for how this could work.
There could be an 'ATM' of sorts. You can use it at any time after unlocking the main room.
You can put money into it and dispense an equal amount of money in a denomination of your choosing.
Balance ideas:
-Machine doesn't accept (or fines you for giving it) marked / counterfeit / inked bills.
-Machine doesn't convert between currencies.
-Only outputs batches of 100 bills at a time (unless cancelling and getting your money back)
-Machine can't "store" more than one type of bill at a time, and no more than what is needed to complete an exchange. (ex: $10 to $20 can't hold more than 200 $10 bills)
-Exchange takes time, like buying from the store -

JasonInstead of a machine or an ATM(who would fill it??), I would like to think that you're not the only cash cleaner in the organization.
Maybe add in some missions where you make contact with other cleaners in the organization and you can request to exchange cash once you become trusted to them. They'll have some missions and you have to fill a couple with no mistakes. Once trusted, either there could be an option in the other cleaners' text messages or you get access to a cash-hub app to make the cash exchange requests. There would be a small fee for the exchange services and since the other cleaners aren't as good as you are *wink*, sometimes they'll miss counterfeit or marked money. You could also specifically request marked, counterfeit, wet/dirty, or inked money. The worse the condition, the lower the fee.
There would need to be a simple exchange rate for going between the different currencies. They could also sell objects for the object missions -

GenI love the idea of a second organization dealing with another currency, but also requesting that 30% exchange rate fee for services. We could offer that too to them too. Part of why my passport wallet has all my currencies from other countries. I’m not paying to have those converted again. I’ll just wait until I eventually return to those countries.

I_have_300_Yen MergedSo its simple. Add a either new app/section in the store. You could trade currencies like USD for YEN or EURO of course there will be a tiny tax of either the crypto or just a 2:1 trade. You could also straight up sell currencies for crypto. Like 1 million USD would be like 100 crypto or something. Then the option to buy money. Cheaper will be dirty+inked+marked bills. Expensive would be crisp clean bills.
I like hoarding and having like 20k crypto. It is useless for me. I just wanna spend it all on bills my loot goblin brain needs to see piles and piles of money :)
TLDR: money conversion from USD to YEN to EURO, The option to sell money for crypto, The option to buy money with crypto.
Think of us loot goblin hoarders in the late stage of the game :( -

LimeIf game balancing and pacing is the issue, the exchange machine or mechanic could be an awesome reward for those who wish to continue the game after the main story quests. Ability to change not just currencies but bills themselves would be awesome too. Huge potential to evolve into some further in game story and mechanics.
If we go with Jason's proposal, Panther and Lifehacker would be prime candidates to help the player out due to siding with them.
