Take Single Items from Pallets/out of Containers
A lot of people, myself included, likely use Pallets or Boxes to store
The mountains of cash (bound and unbound)
Various items (vases, jewelry, gold bars)
Instead of having to pull out an arm full of bound bills, for example, when the player just needs 1 $10k stack to meet the quest, please add the option to take 1 item (maybe the last one added) from the pallet/container.

i personally have 10 plastic pallets 1 for each denomination and when i bundle it up at a sorter i just sort it out on a table and then chuck the sorted piles onto the pallet, then i can just grab a handful, take as many as i want and then lob the remainder back on the pallet, this works but being able to just grab a few off the pallet would be glorious -

MihoshikaHonestly, I don't, just because of how it works rn. I just keep my money on top of tables and such, neatly stacked. If it starts overflowing, I wrap it and put it under the table. Haven't gotten to the point of needing to use a crate or something akin.
Never bother storing or sorting any unbound cash. It's either in the sorters, or in a pile on the floor.
For all the misc items, like necklaces and statues, I've just got them on a shelf. Again, not enough to justify using a pallet. -

Heavii MergedIt would be more convenient if it was possible to grab just one item out of a container. As it is now, in order to get just one item I have to dump out the whole container just to get the one item.

JamesI think a great way to incorporate this mechanic is using the Mousewheel in conjunction with holding the "F" key. This way when you are looking in a bag or something, it'll pull one of the item you want when you mousewheel down, or deposit a single item from your hand when you mousewheel up!

ProHolmesAbsolutely need this. It's really annoying that if you keep sorted stacks in containers and you need only one or two of those for a quest, you have to take all of them, put away needed ones and put the whole pile back.
So now I keep my stacks on tables instead of containers. -

Shark89I’m a fan of this. Another awesome ability would be to select a certain amount to take out. For example, I want 5 bundles of bills. When I go to a box, it prompts me how many bundles I want.

Mr_FoxYeah, having to pull out pile of <whatever object> just so i can grab one or two of them to complete a stack or order just gets on my nerves. Also not being able to specify what is being pulled out of box/palette is another annoying thing that could use some polishing.

Kjooli MergedPallets seem to use last-on first-off storage. I'd like it if I could grab what item I am looking directly at from the pallet. This would mean that the pallet storage would likely need to be updated since the items overlap and sometimes end up not visible when multiple items are stored.

Henry LoenwindI'm a bit ambivalent about being able to take single items from every container. My suggestion would rather be having special storage containers ("open crates") that enable that. A laundry basket would work nicely.

Dray Mergedbeing able to grab 100 bills straight out of the shopping cart would help a little with tediousness, if you have a whole shopping cart full of 100s it seems somewhat pointless to grab a pile and set it somewhere then hold click to grab 100, when i could just grab 100 and have the option to grab a pile.

swemoney MergedI would love to see the ability to change how much you pick up with F. One way to do it could be to add some mousewheel functionality while holding F over a stack/box/pallet that could change the specific number of items you'll pick up from that spot. Another method I thought about could mimic how dropping single bills work when you're holding right click while holding a stack of bills. Being able to drop single items from a pile could let you pick up a bunch of F, drop the few that you need with X and then put the pile back on the pallet.
Right now, I have all my money sorted and taped but just laying on the floor because it's much easier to pick up X amount of a denomination that way. I would really enjoy being able to stack money on pallets or in boxes or bags and just select how many I want. -

It's annoying if you accidentally add a single marked bill to your box/pallet/shopping cart of non-marked bills, then have to take EVERYTHING out in order to remove that one single bill. -

AckdamI'm of two minds here.
First, I get it's annoying, especially for trash items. Pulling out a huge pile when you only need a little is a pain, and I have accidentally pulled a stack of some trash items out of a smaller container multiple times. It's a pain to get everything back inside, but ultimately it was my fault for doing so.
On the other hand, I keep XXL boxes of trash items and generic bills. When the boxes of bills get close to full, I sort them into bound stacks and set them out on tables. When I have enough loose, bound stacks to form a full plastic-wrapped block with no orders pending, I wrap them up and put the blocks on a corresponding pallet. If I need a certain amount, I pull from the bound stacks on the tables. If there isn't enough there, I check my unprocessed bill bin to see if I might be able to cover what I need from that, or I pull a wrapped pack from the pallet and cut it open. This keeps everything pretty tidy and not so much of a headache. -

AlphaI would prefer a kind of specialized storage solution for taped bills. A container that would not only allow us to pull out neat stacks rather than hand-fulls, but would also let us know how many are left. It could even have numbers on the front allowing use to choose how many are dispensed at a time. That or each time we click on it a stack is added to our hand. It would be even better if a display could show the denomination stored inside, even if we had to set that ourself.

Rob MergedIt would be great if we could pick up money per stack from pallets (bound stacks of 100 bills on a pallet) instead of having to bulk grab with F and then drop it on the ground, grab the stacks we need, then place the rest back on the pallet.

JasonIm only 4 hours in and need sorting. I hate having to take everything out just to pick up 3 bundles. Maybe a mechanic where you can hold another key than F and click to pick up one at a time

pgamesfoodhi being able to take out the specific item that your mouse cursor is over, at the time you take something out from a pallet (for example), would be very useful.
many times even with boxes or bags on pallets, i try to pick up a specific one, but it gives me a random box instead of what my mouse was pointing at :) -

I also do not understand the performance reasons rationale - if it's possible to take out a full arms 'capacity' of amount of wrapped bills, why is it suddenly impacting performance to take just 1?
Could we perhaps get a bit more detailed explanation on the reasoning to not implement this? -

It is a quite frequently asked feature and the mechanics should already be there as it is used with heaps of bills.
As alternative there could be the possibility to drop a small ammount (1-5%) of a grabed bunch in hand to have less to put back. This would mean Grab a bunch of bills/packs while holding "F" - drop some of then whith "X" - drop the bunch back into the box/onto the pallet. The player then still has to take the one item he needs and put the surplus back too. While not making the process much easier or faster it would ease the players mind. One can argue that if you are carrying a bunch of stuff you can't precisely drop one item ... but a few. -

Paul BeerkensThere are a lot of good suggestions here but just being able to take one item (the last one added) from a box or palette would make a huge difference to the game. It would allow you to actually use boxes and palettes to organize and store your money and retrieve items as needed rather than grab the entire content and dump it on the floor just to get o e or two items.
It seems such an easy thing to add compared to all the other features and clearly very popular. It seems puzzling why this incredible popular request is not an already planned feature. -

JasonTaking out an armful of stuff for the non-cash item missions from barrob are a pain when you need 2 items and are forced to pull out 10 or so. Same with cash when you need just 1 $50 pack and have to pull out 60 of them. Why would taking 1 item off the stack cause more issues that 60 items off the stack?
